Position Summary

The Campus Director provides administrative oversight and responsibility of a particular campus of Coastal Alabama Community College.

Appropriate placement on the Alabama Community College System salary schedule C1.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

At a minimum, the essential functions of this position shall include:

  1. Supervises and directs the day-to-day operations of the campus, including but not limited to facilities, grounds and security.
  2. Coordinates with the appropriate supervisor(s) and with the Strategic Planning Committee annual and long-term goals for the campus.
  3. Ensures the campus initiatives complement the mission and purpose of the comprehensive community college.
  4. Interprets the mission and the role of the College to constituents including its role in academic preparation and in community economic and workforce development.
  5. Assists in presenting a positive image of the campus and College at the local level.
  6. Assists in the coordination and implementation of new instructional programs, as assigned by the Instructional office.
  7. Assists in meeting the needs of the Continuing Education and Alabama Workforce Solutions training and courses.
  8. Assists in the course scheduling process through availability of rooms and facilities for educational purposes.
  9. Assists in coordination of student discipline reports, ADA compliance and other title compliance issues, as requested by appropriate offices.
  10. Communicates with local partners events and news happening within the campus and College.
  11. Coordinates staff responsibilities to ensure effective communication and consistent application of policies and procedures.
  12. Maintains evaluations of local personnel, as assigned.
  13. Develops and maintains a budget for the campus.
  14. Ensures campus functions and initiatives are in-line with the College's Strategic Plan and the campus' specific unit goals.
  15. Assists with campus reports and data collection from the Institutional Effectiveness, Workforce Development, Instructional and other offices as requested.
  16. Assists in the student recruiting, retention and completion goals of the College.

  8. Complies with ACCS and College policies, as well as state and federal laws. 
  9. Ensures the positive promotion of the College and integration of all campuses within the College.
  10. Is prompt and punctual in reporting for work, meetings, and office hours.  
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  2. Five (5) years of recent relevant experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  3. Three (3) years supervisory experience in one or more of the essential functions of the position.?
  4. Experience in budget, planning, and data management.?
  5. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  6. Effective oral and written communication skills.
  7. Ability to work well with others and work under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. A degree in business administration, human resources, counseling, higher education administration or equivalent.
  2. A master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  3. Proven successful teaching experience at the community college level.
