Lab Aide needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh Scientific's client located in San Diego, CA.
This position will be for a major biotech company, and requires someone with a minimum high school diploma, college level science courses are a plus.
Shift: Mon to Fri, 7 am to 4:30 pm/ 8 am to 5 pm (flexible)
Key Responsibilities
- Routine lab procedures
- Daily lab checks
- Kanban system monitoring
- Freezer defrosts
- Participation and lead in Kaizen events
- Upkeep on inventory for on-site and in-lab storage
- PPE management
- General equipment upkeep and maintenance procedures
- Waste stream management
- Signage management
- 6S upkeep
- Gas tank delivery coordination
- Ordering and restocking of non-stock items
- Maintain sufficient and accurate inventory of lab supplies.
- Maintain overall cleanliness in areas of responsibility.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with both internal and external personnel.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance and cleaning of various equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Typically requires a minimum of 1 - 2 years of related experience.
- Related work or school experience recommended

Salary:$18.75 - $23.50 per hour depending on experience, W2
