Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Workday Analyst works within the Division of Information Technology (DIT) at the University of Maryland, College Park, and is primarily responsible for supporting areas in the Workday platform, serving as a Workday subject matter expert to design, build, and test solutions based on business requirements while supporting specific domain areas (e.g., Human Capital Management, Finance). With the direct supervision of the respective Product Owner, the incumbent will work with stakeholders to resolve issues/questions and ascertain system capabilities that would best serve UMD students, faculty, and staff. Incumbent will advise on any needs for business process improvements and efficiencies in the university’s processes and procedures.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or University.
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5+) years’ experience with payroll, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., Workday).
- Experience providing support, problem identification, and resolution.
- Expertise with office productivity applications such as Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to identify potential and actual problems, develop solutions and resolve to a positive outcome in the midst of simultaneously occurring work activities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organization skills with the ability to provide detailed documentation of processes and procedures.
- Collaboration and strong communication skills to solicit ideas for system improvements, adoption, and ease of use.
- Technical support experience, including researching and resolving issues and recommending solutions or alternative methods to meet business needs.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under various conditions and constraints.
- Ability to work as part of a team and with other functional/technical teams.
