  • Security and Maintenance staff must obtain approval from their supervisor to take holidays as scheduled.
  • If required to work on a holiday, the eligible hourly non-exempt employee will receive their paid holiday on another date.
  • The days specified as holidays are subject to administrative discretion on a year to year basis.

Sick Leave Accrual Table

A maximum of 240 hours (30 days) of sick leave may be accumulated.

Tuition Assistance

A percentage of the tuition may be waived for the employee, for spouse and their dependent children from 50% to 100% contingent on length of service and specific program limitations. For interpretation or inquiries concerning tuition assistance policy statements, please contact the Financial Assistance office.

Tuition Waiver

Full-time LCU employees are eligible to register during the fall and spring semesters as students for one undergraduate course (except for the Organizational Management degree program) for up to three semester hours without paying tuition.

 

 

Lubbock Christian School (LCS) Grades K-12

Children of full-time employees of Lubbock Christian University may attend LCS grades K-12 at a tuition discount of 40%.

Sister-School Tuition Discount

Other Christian universities award tuition discounts to eligible dependents of full-time LCU employees. Each Christian college or university administers their own discount program and establishes qualifying requirements at their discretion.

Primary Function: Faculty

Position: Tenure-track faculty position in Marketing, nine-month appointment (with potential summer employment)

School of Business: The LCU School of Business offers bachelor’s programs in Accounting, AgriBusiness, Economics, Finance, Marketing, General Business, Management, Managerial Leadership (online) and Integrated Business Technologies. The Integrated Business Technologies programs offer bachelor’s degrees in Information Systems and Technology, Management of Information Systems, Web Design and Digital Media Applications. The School of Business also offers a Master of Accounting program. The School of Business is the largest academic area at LCU with 290+ students and is accredited by ACBSP.

Major Responsibilities:

Applicants must be committed to undergraduate education and show promise of becoming an exceptional teacher who values mentoring and advising students. A normal teaching load is twelve hours per semester. This position would be teaching Marketing related classes in a traditional setting as well as on- line delivery. Scholarly activity, service, and other responsibilities as assigned are expected of the successful applicant.

In addition, successful applicants will be expected to:

  • Advise and mentor students.
  • Work cooperatively with a small, dedicated, and close-knit faculty and staff
  • Participate in department class scheduling.
  • Assist with program assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum review and integration.
  • Possess and exhibit qualities of professionalism, integrity, self-motivation.

Qualifications:

An earned doctorate in Business Marketing or a related field is preferred. Persons without a doctorate but with a master’s degree and a commitment to pursue a doctorate may be considered for this position. A successful candidate will have prior teaching experience at the university level in both traditional and online delivery. The ideal candidate would be able to provide evidence of experience in one or more of the following areas: digital marketing, marketing analytics, brand management, advertising, or strategicmarketing planning. Successful applicants will also have prior experience working with or teaching digital media plans, SEO, PPC, social media (paid and organic), and mobile marketing. All qualified applicants must be professing Christians and be willing to support the Christian mission and purpose of the university.
