LCS Hull Lead

Position Summary:

LCE is looking for qualified LCS Hull Lead to support the San Diego based Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Preventive Maintenance Availability (PMAV) Program. As a Hull Lead you will plan and coordinate integrated Planned Maintenance System (PMS) plans and schedules in accordance with NAVSEA specifications.

Clearance Required:
  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain an Active Secret Security clearance and Common Access Card (CAC)

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with government and ship force to ensure proper implementation of schedules
  • Oversee and conduct Preventive Maintenance on both Hull, Mechanical, and Electric (HM&E) and combat systems machinery and equipment
  • Coordinate the issuance of Work Authorization Forms (WAF)s and tag outs and ensure sequential restoration of HM&E and combat systems equipment with Work Authorization Planner/Coordinator
  • Plan and coordinate assignments for LCE technicians and subcontractors tasked in performance of PMS
  • Ensure all administrative duties associated with the PMAV meet deadlines, reviewing and submitting all Condition Found Reports for accuracy and content
  • Ensure all PMAV production work force adhere to contract items including scheduling, operations budget, material tracking, enforcement of OSHA, Safety, Quality Assurance, and Environmental policies
  • Generate, submit, and distribute required reports and briefs to designated personnel

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 10 years Navy experience as a 3M coordinator, department manager, and/or combination of Navy background with experience managing US Navy ship availabilities
  • Experience with LCS HM&E and/or Combat Systems
  • Experience with Tag Out User's Manual
  • Knowledgeable with FY23 Navy Standard Items
  • Knowledgeable of Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and teamwork orientated

Physical Demands and Expectations:
  • Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, climbing scaffolding and standing; frequent periods of prolonged standing may be required
  • Maneuvering around tight spaces in a shipboard environment
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
  • Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
  • Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
