LCS Work Authorization Planner Coordinator

Position Summary:

LCE is looking for qualified LCS Work Authorization Planner/Coordinators to support the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Preventive Maintenance Availability (PMAV) program in San Diego, CA. As a Work Authorization Planner/Coordinator you will work closely with the Hull lead to plan, coordinate, generate, and issue all work authorization forms, tag-out requirements, and associated documentation to ensure proper authorization of work and safe isolation of systems during the planned maintenance availabilities in accordance with NAVSEA specifications.

Clearance Required:
  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain an Active Secret Security clearance and Common Access Card (CAC)
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Generate WAFs and tag outs and ensure sequential restoration of HM&E and combat systems equipment using eWAFs, ESOMMS and ETAGOUT system
  • Assist in the plan tasks for LCE employees and other subcontractors in coordination with government tasks
  • Execute planned maintenance on LCS platforms during planned maintenance availabilities
  • Conduct Preventive Maintenance Service (PMS) on both HM&E and combat systems equipment.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with LCS HM&E or Combat Systems (LCS experience can be from time as LCS crew member or Regional Maintenance Center performing maintenance on LCS platforms)
  • Knowledge of Tag-out User's Manual S0400-AD-URM-010/TUM
  • Experience with Navy Planned Maintenance System
  • Knowledgeable with FY23 Navy Standard Items
  • Knowledgeable of Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM)
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience during maintenance availabilities with Work Authorization Forms and Tag Outs
  • U.S. Navy technician skills and training
  • U.S. Navy LCS Class electrical/electronic shipboard experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Physical Demands and Expectations:
  • Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, climbing scaffolding and standing; frequent periods of prolonged standing may be required
  • Maneuvering around tight spaces in a shipboard environment
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
  • Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
  • Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
