Contracts Coordinator

Job Description

Provides administrative support for activities relating to the contracts review process, including processing, execution, filing, and storage of contracts. In addition, the administration and maintanenance of existing contracts, and maintenance of filing and archiving contracts. Provides general assistance to the legal department on an as-needed basis. Manages multiple projects within required timelines.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and tracks a large number of contracts and provides advice and guidance regarding contract requests and the contract review process.
  • Reviews contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, other requirements, and conformance to master agreements
  • Responsible for initial drafting of contracts based on company's forms and procedures
  • Responsible for facilitating signatures on contracts in compliance with company's processes and requirements
  • Gathers, assembles, and analyzes information from a variety of sources to prepare and format contracts for legal review
  • Maintains electronic and hard-copy filing systems for contracts
  • Performs project administration responsibilities as directed
  • Performs other assignments as directed

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • BA/BS degree with at least 2 years in contracts administration/support or equivalent combination of relevant education and applicable job experience
  • Prior experience in a law firm or biotech/pharmaceutical legal department is preferred
  • Contract coordination experience is required
  • Must be proficient with word processing (Word) and spreadsheets (Excel)
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to be highly organized, self-motivated with the capability to prioritize projects and workload
  • High level of integrity with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a discreet and appropriate manner
  • Excellent professional ethics, integrity and judgment
  • Must work to tight deadlines, efficiently and calmly in a high-volume, high-demanding environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including tact, diplomacy and flexibility
  • Ability to work accurately, to follow instructions precisely and to handle multiple priorities efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to function independently as well as have effective interactions with team members
  • Ability to effectively work cross-functionally

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, see, talk or hear in a standard office environment and independently from remote locations. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for discretionary bonus and equity awards based on factors such as individual and organizational performance. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and location.

Salary Range
$60,000-$75,700 USD
