About the Role:We are seeking a laboratory assistant to assist in the production of monoclonal antibodies and other proteins. This will primarily include molecular cloning, DNA preparation, cell line maintenance, and transient transfection of production cell lines.

Your Contributions (include but are not limited to):We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized person with a passion for science and the ability to quickly learn new lab techniques
Working under the supervision of a senior scientist you will assist with cell culture, transient transfection, expression optimization, DNA preparation, and protein quantification.
You will use sterile technique during the culture of mammalian cell lines for DNA transfection
Under the direction of a senior scientist, you will explore potential improvements to the existing protein expression platform
BA/BS in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or other relevant discipline with strong GPA
Laboratory experience in mammalian cell culture (excellent sterile technique is essential)
Knowledge of standard molecular biology cloning techniques is a plus
Experience with standard laboratory instrumentation
Ability to maintain accurate detailed documentation of experiments essential
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Good multitasking, trouble shooting and deductive reasoning skills
