This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite in La Jolla and remote.

The Health Sciences Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) facilitates faculty career success and growth through professional development activities, mentorship and leadership training for faculty in the School of Medicine, Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health, and Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. OFA collects and analyzes faculty data to develop evidence-based effective programming and initiatives to enhance success, recruitment, and retention of an engaged, diverse, and inclusive faculty.

You will be an integral part of a 20+ team of staff and faculty with expertise and decades worth of experience in faculty professional development, engagement, program evaluation, data analytics, project/program management, communications and marketing. In the past 5 years, the success of OFA has allowed its four-fold expansion in products and personnel. Despite this rapid growth, the unit has been able to continuously build trust with our Health Sciences faculty, staff colleagues and institutional leadership through the high quality, evidence-based programming and initiatives, leading the unit to be recognized as an emerging leader in Faculty Affairs. The Faculty Affairs Program Manager is responsible for the planning, scheduling, implementation, and evaluation of programs, courses and activities sponsored by the Health Sciences Office of Faculty Affairs. The incumbent is responsible for researching best practices; collecting, analyzing and evaluating the programs' effectiveness; staying current on training pedagogy; and introducing innovative methods and tools to achieve desired outcomes. Skills critical to this role include ability to communicate effectively, manage multiple projects with overlapping timelines, adapt to new policy and practices, and work efficiently with a variety of stakeholders simultaneously.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Seven years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus three years of related experience/training.

  • Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Excellent organizational skills, analytical, and demonstrate attention to detail.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills to be able to independently coordinate, organize, plan and execute meetings and conferences.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Proficiency in organizing and reporting data with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.

  • Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals / analyses.

  • Strong policy analysis techniques.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $67,200 - $119,600 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $32.18 - $57.28

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
