We invite you to join our Radiation Oncology Department. Our team of highly trained medical and scientific professionals utilize some of the most advanced radiation therapy technologies available for treating cancer.
Our highly-skilled Radiation Therapists work in an innovative, fast-paced, and patient-centered environment. Under the supervision of the Radiation Oncologist, the Radiation Therapist delivers the planned course of radiation therapy, documents all treatments, set up instructions, measurements and photos. With the ability to adapt to changing technology and multi-task, this position is also responsible for treatment planning set-ups for simulations and treatment delivery. They will also perform competencies as outlined in Radiation Oncology Competency Assessment tools, and demonstrate age-specific care.
This is Full-Time position (80 hours per pay period) 8 hour varied day shift, Monday through Friday and is located at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego.
New Hire Incentive available up to $4,000 for those who qualify.
The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:
- Internal candidates
- Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago
- New Graduates
In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:
- Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
- Must remain in original department/specialty
- Must remain in original Job Title
Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.
Required Qualifications:
- CRT in Radiation Therapy
- ARRT in Radiation Therapy
- BLS provided by the American Heart Association
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years' experience
- Knowledge of patient focused care delivery
