Overview

Our Civil Design Engineers are goal-oriented who support our Power Delivery clients. They contribute to teams in the delivery of preparation of site plans and engineering studies for public and private development projects. Typical tasks include horizontal and vertical layout, grading, drainage/stormwater management design, and utility design.

Responsibilities

As our Civil Design Engineer, you will also:

    The successful candidate will plan, administer and design small to medium size site civil or transportation projects
  • Perform roadway and/or traffic design tasks as a member of design team for local, arterial, and interstate roadways
  • Manage design staff as lead engineer on project tasks
  • Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction; ensure client objectives are met
  • Responsible for marketing, writing proposals, winning work, maintaining, and developing key client relationships
  • Participate in client-rich professional organizations and functions
  • Train and mentor young professionals
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. (Preferred)
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license in the state of California, or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6-months of starting at NV5.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D 2022 & MicroStation Connect version and Open Roads Civil package proficiency is a must.
  • 5+ years of Civil Design Engineering experience within Power delivery/utilities projects or other related design projects.

Please note that this role can be based full-time remote.

The pay range for this California position is $90,000.00- $120,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
