Job Description

The Position: We’re looking for a Delivery Driver located in our San Diego, CA market. Employee will eligible for a $1000 signing bonus. Employee must be in good standing to receive the bonus. Candidate must pass a Drug/Alcohol Test and Criminal Background Check.

Basic Function: To complete assigned deliveries and pick- up of merchandise and assist with shipping and receiving
responsibilities. This includes driving a box truck.


Responsibilities
  • Operate company vehicle in a professional, safe and courteous manner.
  • Pick up merchandise from warehouse/ vendors/ customers.
  • Deliver merchandise to customer in a timely manner.
  • Ensure delivery of appropriate merchandise in accordance with customer invoices.
  • Ensure delivery vehicles are clean and in good working condition.
  • Perform daily maintenance checks and report malfunctions to management.
  • Ensure customer messages/ communications are relayed to appropriate management.
  • Assist in maintaining a neat and clean workplace at all times.
  • Assist with stocking the shipping and receiving department to include lifting and carrying cartons and
placing them on appropriate shelves.
  • Fill delivery orders by obtaining the required merchandise and completing appropriate paperwork.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification/Skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Valid Driver’s license- must meet insurance underwriting requirements. CDL not required.
  • Must pass DOT physical, and have current DOT medical card.
  • Good driving record.
  • Open availability, overtime is common.
  • Prior truck driving experience is required.
  • At least 1 year of furniture handling or moving experience is required.
