Senior Engineer
Job Description
As a Senior Engineer for Effecture, you will embed with the Tactical Shore Platform (TSP) agile team and focus on supporting development and collaboration between TSP and the Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CENTRIX-S) architecture.
Duties:
- As a Senior Engineer, you will be the go-to technical expert within the Tactical Shore Platform (TSP) agile team. Your role involves in-depth knowledge of computer systems, software, and hardware, and the ability to make them work seamlessly. You'll use your technical skills to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- You will be able to integrate the various components of the computer systems. This involves a comprehensive grasp of the project's intricate workings and the ability to harmonize their interactions.
- When challenges arise within the computer systems, your role as a troubleshooter is pivotal. You'll take on the role of a detective, identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues promptly, ensuring the systems remain in top form.
- Leveraging specialized tools and scripts, you will streamline and automate routine tasks, enhancing the efficiency of the systems. It is akin to empowering the computers to handle mundane tasks autonomously.
- With Terraform, you will architect and maintain the fundamental elements of the computer systems. Think of yourself as the city planner, ensuring the digital infrastructure is not only well-structured but also efficient
- You will be Responsible for organizing and managing s, which serve as digital enclosures for our programs. This is akin to curating a digital library, ensuring easy access and orderly arrangement of our software assets.
- You'll be tasked with enhancing the visual appeal and user-friendliness of computer screens. Tools like Grafana will be your allies in creating engaging and user-centric interfaces, making information readily digestible.
- The success of the PMW790 PEO-C4I program rests significantly on your contributions. Much like the captain of a ship, you will steer the project towards its goals, ensuring a smooth and triumphant journey.
Qualifications:
- To be considered for this position, an active Secret Clearance is required.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience; preferably working with a government agency.
- Cloud Experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms (certification is optional).
- System Administration: Proficiency in system administration, with a focus on VMware and Linux/RHEL.
- Automation: Experience with Ansible automation, including the Ansible Automation Platform, Tower, and AWX.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Container Orchestration: Proficiency in Kubernetes for orchestration.
- Monitoring and Visualization: Familiarity with Grafana for monitoring and visualization of system performance.
- Agile Knowledge: Understanding of DSO/Agile implementation methodologies.
