Job Description:

System engineer to lead engineering and integration efforts in support of Consolidated Afloat Network Enterprise Services (CANES) Afloat networks. This position will work closely with cross functional teams to evaluate and modernize tactical afloat network designs and will lead engineering efforts to deliver significant Cyber Threat Upgrades (CTUs) to CANES fielded systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead CANES Engineering integration efforts for a cyber threat upgrade
• Interface with the CANES APM and represent CANES Engineering at the Integrated Product Team drumbeat
• Coordinate engineering development efforts to deliver program prioritized engineering change requests (ECRs)

Basic Qualification Requirements:

BS degree required in STEM field

• Secret clearance required
• Minimum six (6) years of experience supporting the engineering of Information Technology systems for a DoD or Government Agency (CANES Engineering or installation experience preferred)
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience with the engineering and integration of domain and enterprise services software for CANES.
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience engineering solutions for one or more of the following technologies: Microsoft Server OS, Microsoft Domain Controllers/GPOs, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft SQL, WSUS, RHEL, Microsoft SCOM
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience with PowerShell development.
• Ability to provide expert level knowledge in systems engineering and information technology
• Ability to develop solutions across software and hardware to solve problems and implement enhancements
• Ability to investigate and resolve issues that span multiple applications/technologies and require involvement from technical personnel across multiple organizations
• Ability to develop and/or revise system designs and architectures to improve efficiency, stability, effectiveness, supportability, and sustainability
