About the Role:

Responsible for the design and facilitation of high-impact, outcomes-focused learning and development for our field sales organization. Highly cross-functional, collaborating with field sales leadership, sales effectiveness, sales training, marketing, market access, field operations, human resources, and talent management to develop and implement training that enhances employee engagement and accelerates the growth of technical, professional, and leadership skills for individual contributors, teams, and leaders in the field sales organization.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
  • Lead the On-Boarding, Phase I/IB Home Study and Phase III Field-Based On-the-Job of New Hire Training

    • Conduit for Training Coordinator and Training Managers

    • Prep RSMs/RFTs/SOSLs for their roles in supporting Phase I/IB home study

    • Lead (or co-lead) Training Welcome call on Day 1

    • Lead (or co-lead w/ RFTs) Phase I/IB and III Trainings via Zoom

  • Support Phase II 'Live' Training conducted by Sales Training - attend Phase II Trainings and coordinate any RFT & SOSL support needed

  • Lead [or co-lead w/ Dir-Leadership Development (Dir-LD)] the Regional Field Trainers (RFT) Team

  • Support and/or lead the RFT on-boarding, mentoring, and annual development ("RFT Lift Off" development curriculum)

  • Conduct field travel for personnel assessments, strategic training initiatives, coaching and development as need is determined or requested (new hires pre/post-Phase II or during Phase III on-the-job learning, when extra field training support is needed, to keep pulse on field for training department on field-based needs, gaps)

  • On an ongoing basis, assess training, learning, and development needs for the Sales Teams as well as alternative methods of delivering training and new approaches, practices and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of training (including microlearning, distance-learning, e-learning, learning portals) - communicate needs identified to appropriate stakeholders to gain alignment and determine path forward

  • Lead the development and facilitation of our Advanced Training and Microlearning efforts

  • Develop and facilitate technical/skill-based training for all field sales teams, in coordination and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders for the topic being trained

  • Liaison to SOSLs and Field Ops Team for Ops-related training

    • Lead/develop SOSLs to prepare them to facilitate trainings they are asked to lead or collaborate on

  • Support the creation and implementation/facilitation of training being developed by other Training Directors & Managers

  • Collaborate with Sales Directors, Sales Force Effectiveness, Leadership Development, and Sales Training on identifying and facilitating any Zone level training needs

  • Support Leadership Development with building and facilitating LEAD program and/or other Leadership, Professional, or Career Development for sales organization

  • Support Train-the-Trainer (TTT) and associated Plan-of-Action POA)/National Sales Meeting (NSM) training content development and facilitation

    • eg: Lead facilitator for RFT development at TTT

  • Other job duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • BS/BA in relevant subject area required and 8+ years of relevant work experience required, 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience required. At least 1 year of internal pharmaceuticals recommended. Experience in a Sales Training (ie: Regional Field Trainer) role highly preferred. Sales leadership experience a plus OR

  • Master's Degree in relevant area and 6+ years similar experience noted above

  • Long Term Care (LTC) experience preferred

  • Regional Field Training experience (or equivalent)

  • Strong communication (verbal, nonverbal, written), presentation, and facilitation skills

  • Experience with developing and facilitation training workshops, adult learning principles, and training design

  • Strong emotional intelligence and relationship building skills

  • Ability to teach, develop, and coach others with a wide variety of learning needs and styles

  • Highly motivated, self-leader with a growth mindset and a passion for learning and development and for training, mentoring, coaching, developing others

  • Ability to assess learning and development needs and design creative, innovative training and solutions to meet those needs

  • Strong knowledge and implementation of department-specific and company-wide training programs, methodologies, and techniques

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engaging, compelling and action-oriented training programs that drive behavior and high impact outcomes

  • Experience with capturing and sharing best practices and cultivating shared learning experiences that develops high performing individuals and teams

  • Ability to foster a learning culture and environment that builds community, inspires growth mindset, creates safety to stretch and to challenge and be challenged

  • Disciplined ability to work autonomously in ambiguous and remote/virtual work situations and make appropriate, effective decisions in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple cross functional stakeholders in a matrix and potentially virtual/remote team working environment

  • Macro thinker and micro planner with excellent project management skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines across a variety of projects/programs, with a high degree of effectiveness, accuracy, and efficiency

  • Presentation and facilitation skills

  • Demonstrates broad expertise or unique knowledge

  • Has knowledge of best practices in the functional discipline and familiarity with the broader underlying concepts of related business disciplines

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $127,500.00-$184,800.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
