Human Resource Manager

Our Human Resource Manager is responsible for full cycle HR for their assigned region; including benefits, compliance and employee relations.
This position supports/travels to projects and offices in all Helix locations.
DUTIES & SCOPE:
- Completes or partners on projects assigned by Senior Leadership (e.g., Operation Managers and/or VPs).
- Tracks HR metrics such as attrition trends in partnership with the Employee Experience team to identify and assess attrition trends and develop strategic retention plans.
- May represent Helix at unemployment-related hearings and investigations.
- Works with others to develop and implement effective onboarding programs.
- Participates in manpower tracking processes, including position management and contingent workers.
- Oversees local craft training program.
- Track metrics, develop goals, and oversee team of craft specialists.
- Ensure that in-house training programs and employees are operating within the state required protocol.

- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation to employees and leaders; may lead periodic review and update of employee policies and handbook.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance; coordinates or leads communications as appropriate to company leaders and employees.
- Partners with leaders to assess risk, investigate and respond to internal and externally filed employee complaints.
- Partners with Benefits manager in the day-to-day and annual administration of medical and workers compensation programs, polices, and procedures.
- Partners with business leaders and senior HR Leadership to ensure that Helix's base pay and incentive programs remain competitive and consistent with Helix's overall compensation philosophy/strategy.
- Provides oversight to local benefits administrators responsible for LOA administration, workers compensation/return to work program, administration of benefits programs, and response to employee questions.
- Implements and manages field recruitment processes and employment programs. Ensures recruiting processes align with current and future workforce needs.
- Establishes metrics, develops goals, and oversees team of talent acquisition specialists / recruiters. May lead recruitment efforts for hard-to-fill or senior level positions.
- May help assess talent acquisition needs and succession planning gaps and opportunities, in partnership with business and HR leaders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 + years of progressive full cycle human resources experience with strong knowledge of progressive talent acquisition, onboarding and retention methods.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or master's degree preferred.
- Human Resources certification (PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Leadership skills: minimum 2 years demonstrated experience leading a team of HR professionals.
- Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including talent acquisition, compensation, change management, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to review data, identify trends, and develop and drive execution of solutions.
- Flexible and able to multitask; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and driving for results.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization with an open, honest and clear communication style that establishes an empathetic and effective relationship with stakeholders.
- Capable of collaborating and influencing effectively builds strong relationships and partnerships within the company.
- Able to work with sensitive, confidential information; a high level of demonstrated discretion and judgment.
The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $95,000 and $130,000. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for bonus and benefits.
