Scope of Position

EDFR is seeking an exceptional initiative-taker and problem-solver to join the Solar Product Management team to contribute to our mission this summer. The ideal candidate is eager to learn about the end-to-end grid-connected Solar plant lifecycle (e.g., Development, Procurement, Engineering, Construction, Cost Estimation, and O&M). Candidates should possess strong technical & analytical skills, high attention to details, to support data-driven decision making. This position will work closely with all EDFR teams involved in the product lifecycle, to identify and implement opportunities for value preservation and creation.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
    Support assigned product initiative to contribute to value preservation and creation. Monitor and track project progress, provide project status report, and manage stakeholder engagement.
  • Support solar new product development, by conducting market/technology research, optimizing for the least cost, best-fit solutions at the portfolio level.
  • Document product requirements, analyze market and technical data to support decision making process, conduct tradeoffs analysis, and communicate key findings to stakeholders.
  • Identify and support other internal initiatives to drive solar product competitiveness and technical suitability. Such as contribute to whitepaper, factsheet, specs, presentation, models, to support the product advancement.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in relevant STEM discipline. MBA is a plus!
  • Proven ability to conduct and interpret business and technology analytics.
  • Previous internship experience in solar/energy storage/wind is a plus.
  • Superb communication skills; written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel, PowerPoints, and SharePoint.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Experience of project management or product management.
  • Comfortable translating business requirements into a product vision and design and action plan. Proven ability of executing plans to completion.
  • Experience of researching, developing, and evaluating new and different technologies/markets trends.
  • Imaginative and ability to adapt to changing circumstances while also being able to simultaneously perform multiple quantitative analysis.
  • Able to identify ways to add value to the team and proactively identify problems to tackle.
