Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Research Transparency & Outreach Office is looking for an upperclassman undergraduate student with the ability to code in Python and other programming languages that will help facilitate web crawling and web scraping of specific data. This person should also be able to extract relevant data from databases and documentation to automate comparisons of data and identify discrepancies. The ideal candidate will be an “out of the box” thinker who is willing to develop creative solutions to complex problems. Confidentiality of information will be a top priority for the individual in this position. The project is anticipated to run the duration of the Spring 2024 semester and will involve a maximum of 10 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
  • Must be currently enrolled as a junior or senior at the University of Maryland, College Park in good standing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to code in Python and other programming languages.
