The position reports directly to the Dean, School of Science, Math, and Engineering and will teach 15 load hours per semester of Human Anatomy & Physiology and Pathophysiology courses.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Will provide 15 credit hours of instruction per semester with primary teaching load in Human Anatomy and Physiology, Pathophysiology, and Anatomy and Physiology for Non-Majors.
  • Responsibilities will include assessment, service on various college and department committees, maintenance of office hours, and other duties as assigned by the Dean.
  • Development of program specific curriculum, course guides, syllabi, and other materials related to the program. Utilizing the Canvas LMS.
  • Supervise adjunct instructors, as needed.
  • Instructor may be assigned day and evening classes, as well as classes at our satellite campuses (located within 15 miles of the main campus).

Qualifications:

  • A Master’s Degree in Biology, or an associated field, with at least 18 graduate hours in human anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and related areas is required.
  • Two years of teaching at post-secondary level and/or related professional clinical experience is preferred. Experience with interactive instructional methods is highly desired.
  • The successful candidate will value diversity and have a multicultural perspective with adult/minority students; and have a high energy level along with a strong commitment to the community college philosophy.
