Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

Senior staff level position is responsible for developing and maintaining Financial agreements, procedures, and policies for FM services with various campus units. Research and analyze costs and customers to ensure accurate cost recovery.

Provide senior-level financial and analytical support for the FM operating budget and accounts. Independently applies appropriate university policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting practices to assignments.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Experience:A minimum of six (6) years of progressive experience and responsibility providing technical and/or analytical functions for an accounting, budgetary, or business operation.
Analytical, administrative, and/or technical experience with business operations functions.
Experience and knowledge in accounting, budgeting, financial procedures, and systems.
Extensive experience with Excel spreadsheets and Pivot Tables is required.
Knowledge/Skills & Abilities:
Experience working independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of and ability to apply accounting principles.
Knowledge of and ability to apply management principles and practices.
Ability to develop a methodology to cost services.
Ability to prepare financial projections and account analyses.
Ability to develop budgets.
Excellent analytical, accounting, financial management, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work with a large volume of financial data and make sound recommendations to facilitate management decision-making.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to adapt to a wide variety of projects.
Ability to learn and use proprietary software applications.
Knowledge of and experience working with financial systems.
Ability to create ad hoc management reports.
Proficient in software applications, e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Internet, and email.
Ability to mentor, motivate and work with a diverse employee population.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to relate with all levels of the campus community as well as State agencies and business officers of colleges.

Preferences:

Experience in governmental accounting, budgeting, and cost accounting.
Experience with Workday, Asset Works, or other work order systems.

The hiring range for this position is $77,640 – $97,050.
