Esports Team Manager Work Study

Location: Marshalltown Community College

Department: Esports Program Management

Reports To: Head Esports Coach

Job Classification: Student, non-exempt, hourly timesheet

Rate of Pay: $9.50/hour

Summary: The purpose of the MCC Esports Team Manager is to provide administrative support to the Marshalltown Community College Esports program. Responsibilities include, but not limited to responding to and fulfilling administrative requests made by the coaching staff, managing email communications between the esports program and third parties, working with the MCC marketing department to develop and share social media postings, and managing and moderating the MCC Esports Twitch channel. The job candidate will strive to help the student-athletes and coaching staff of the MCC Esports program succeed by handling important behind-the-scenes tasks befitting a team manager.

Job Duties:
  • Compose and respond to emails related to the MCC Esports program.
  • Manage social media postings on platforms such as Twitch, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
  • Moderate and manage the MCC Esports Twitch channel.
  • Complete secretarial and administrative tasks assigned by the MCC coaching staff in a timely manner.
Abilities:
  • Ability to represent MCC as a professional in both communications and behavior
  • Ability to navigate software such as Word, Excel, or equivalents
  • Ability to manage and moderate social media accounts such as Twitch and Twitter
  • Ability to compose professional written responses to emails and messages
  • Ability to problem solve and respond to situations in a timely fashion
 
Education and Experience: HS Diploma or equivalent
