Aim High PDX is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, and we cater to our local Beaverton and Portland Metro communities. We provide unique services through our departments, which includes Martial Arts, Screenprinting, Autism Behavior Health services, and Youth Events.

We are seeking someone who is experienced in grant writing and fundraisingwho will be responsible for the identification of funding opportunities and the development, writing and submission of major grant proposals to help us realize our full potential. This position is new to the organization and will evolve as we identify key needs. The organization’s goal is to be able to purchase a building within the next 3 years. This person should be familiar with nonprofit organizations and funding opportunities from federal, state, local, and private sources.

Full-Time – Hybrid work available (in-office & remote)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years minimum experience in proposal development required.
  • 2+ years proposal development experience in non-profit health context preferred.
  • Experience with supporting Fundraising or Philanthropy

Position Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop strategic relationships for grant partnerships. Participate in collaborative efforts with universities, agencies, projects, and entities as a representative of Aim High in the context of proposal development activities.
  • Create compelling, persuasive, well-structured grant narratives through the use of effective storytelling, relevant data, and superior prose.
  • Ensure consistency in grant narratives, outcome measurements, and budgets; provide guidance on project development to maximize revenue potential; ensure the effective grant-tracking system is maintained, deadlines are met, and progress reporting occurs as required.
  • Create and manage annual grant plans based on the Executive Directors development goals: track progress to ensure targets are met; identify major prospects, and track stewardship of key funders.
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish annual grant strategies, fundraising strategy, narrative content and budgets for proposals.
  • Organize grant project annual portfolio.
  • Maintain confidential information in a sensitive and appropriate manner.
  • Identify and plan outreach activities to garner community support for projects, including funding opportunities.
  • Special projects as assigned to support organizational objectives.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
