Job Description

 

Job Function

Assists the career preparation areas in support of the College’s operational
and outreach efforts. Assists in development, management, coordination, and
implementation of plans for such activities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Represent the College in Perkins initiatives.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Perkins grant and other assigned departmental grants. .
  • Provide programmatic, grant, project and operational support to the assigned
Career Preparation Dean (MODAC representative).
  • Supports the planning, development, implementation, evaluation and continuity
of the College’s ongoing articulation efforts with post-secondary school districts.
  • Work as a liaison on behalf of the college in efforts of developing stronger
educational relationships with K-12 districts, post-secondary, community
organizations and business.
  • Provide project management, including financial responsibility and reporting of specific
projects funded with grant dollars.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned grants and special projects, including Perkins,
such as development of applications, plans for improvement, plans for special
populations, site visits, Finance Office interaction, final reports and collection of
data in conjunction with Institutional Research.
  • Coordinate PROE (Program Review of Occupational Education) visits in
conjunction with Institutional Research.
  • Coordinate and manage specific projects as assigned including equipment and
inventory management; divisional public relations activities and events,
college/industry websites, etc.
  • Coordinate, initiate, prepare, and/or disseminate data, reports, and publications,
including preparation of materials for presentation on the College’s website.
  • Facilitate and implement Higher Learning Commission accreditation
requirements for the Career Preparation division.
  • Monitor the accuracy of the Career Preparation course and program data
described in the College catalog including modifications and corrections.
  • Represent the Career Preparation area of the college both internally and
externally.
  • Serves on committees as assigned.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education from an accredited institution
is required. Transcripts must be submitted with the application. Copies are acceptable
for use during the screening process. If you are selected as a candidate, official
transcripts must be submitted before you interview for the position.

Qualifications

Five years related. Experience in career or technical education, or
workforce development desired
