SUNY Schenectady County Community College is seeking a full-time Dean of Learner Support. Reporting to the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Dean of Learner Support supports and acts as point on multiple programs and services in support of the student onramp and engagement, with direct responsibility for New Student Registration Days, New Student Orientation, the Student Services Center, EOP, and TRIO. The Dean will provide leadership, strategic direction and supervision of their areas of responsibility, including Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP), the Testing Center Coordinator, and ReaCH, the College's student success initiative. The Dean of Learner Support provides direct supervision over administrators, professional, technical, and administrative support staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for oversight of the operations and management the Student Services Center, the LPP, EOP, TRIO, and the Testing Center
Leads the College's ReaCH student success initiative including acting as the point for the steering committee, collaborating with campus offices and ReaCH working groups, and having responsibility for various ReaCH initiatives
Establishes data driven priorities and metrics to support student completion of onramp and engagement activities in support of enrollment and retention
Responsible for developing buy in and consensus across campus for support of student onramp, engagement, and retention programming
Continuously monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of programming under the Dean's area of responsibility including the assessment of individual programming and overall Learner Support programming
Collaborates with faculty and staff across campus in the planning, development, and implementation of programming in support of student engagement, retention, and enrollment
Manage and participate in the development of Student Success Program budgets including forecasting for budget needs (e.g., staffing, equipment, supplies, etc.), overseeing budget monitoring and approval of expenditures and directing the preparation and implementation of budgetary adjustments as necessary
Supports the College's mission and responsiveness to student needs, ensuring the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion are embedded in procedures, policies, and the operations under the Dean's area of responsibility
Responsible for overseeing Study Abroad academic partnerships and working in collaboration with the division/school deans to identify opportunities to expand current Study Abroad programing
Responsible for managing the College's Perkins Grant including collaborating with teams across campus and completion of required reporting
Participates in and supports collaboration across all areas of the College in support of a welcoming, supportive, student-centered environment fostering engagement and success
Responsible for researching and remaining current on the landscape learner support, engagement, enrollment, and retention advances in the field of higher education and such programming at other colleges
Collaborates with teams across campus to support the development of Institute Week and other professional development programming to increase knowledge and advance the service of students
Serves as Evening Administrator for two weeks during the Academic Year
Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related field
3 years of strong leadership and management experience
Demonstrated experience working in an educational environment
Experience working with data driven decision making and assessment
Experience working with diverse populations
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work in an unstructured environment with demonstrated creativity

Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated supervisory experience in a community college setting
Evidence of experience overseeing multiple departments/report areas
Demonstrated experience budget management and control
Experience developing and/or leading student support initiatives
Knowledge and experience in the areas of enrollment and retention

Additional Information:
Salary: $76,000
