Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Program Health Index:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive program health index to assess the effectiveness and impact of academic programs.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to gather relevant data and metrics for program evaluation.
  • Analyze program data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement.
2. Cognos and Banner Reporting:
  • Oversee the design and maintenance of reporting systems using tools such as Cognos and Banner to ensure accurate and timely delivery of institutional data.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals to enhance reporting capabilities and streamline data extraction processes.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on reporting tools and best practices.
3. Enrollment Management Indicators:
  • Develop and monitor key enrollment management indicators to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with admissions and enrollment management teams to identify strategies for improving recruitment and admissions processes.
  • Analyze enrollment data to forecast future trends and inform resource allocation.
4. Retention Indicators:
  • Design and implement retention indicators to assess student persistence and success.
  • Collaborate with student services and academic support units to identify interventions that enhance student retention.
  • Analyze data to identify patterns and recommend strategies for improving student retention rates.
5. Completion Rates:
  • Monitor and analyze completion rates to identify factors affecting student success and graduation.
  • Work closely with academic advisors and faculty to implement initiatives that support student progression towards graduation.
  • Develop reports and presentations to communicate completion rate trends to college leadership.
6. Facilities Reporting:
  • Establish and maintain a system for reporting on the condition and utilization of college facilities.
  • Collaborate with facilities management to assess space needs, optimize resource allocation, and plan for future developments.
7. Tracking Advisement:
  • Implement tracking mechanisms to monitor student advisement processes.
  • Work with academic advisors to ensure timely and accurate tracking of student progress and intervention when needed.
8. Leadership:
  • Provide strategic leadership in the development and execution of data analytics initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other institutional leaders to align data-driven strategies with the college's overall mission and goals.
9. External Reporting:
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports to external agencies, including the Board of Supervisors, Board of Regents, IPEDS, and other relevant entities.
  • Stay current with reporting requirements and ensure compliance with data reporting standards.

Required Education:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Information Management, Higher Education Administration).
  • Five or more years of experience in data analytics, with a focus on higher education.
  • Extensive experience with Banner and proficiency in Cognos and other relevant reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing data-driven projects.

Required Experience:

  • Service at a LCTCS institution in data management, reporting, or other similar administrative position
  • Ten (10) years of assessment, curriculum development, analytics, or institutional effectiveness
  • Five (5) years of administrative/management experience

Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required as a condition of employment.
