Mentor: Dr. Gino Cingolani, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics
The Cingolani lab is seeking a post-doc with research expertise in structural biology. The long-term goal of our research is to use rigorous chemical and physical methodologies to study medically relevant problems that help decipher the most fundamental mechanisms of life and contribute to improve human health.
Candidates with training in X-ray crystallography and cryo-EM are encouraged to apply. The candidate must be able to work independently and use standard software for Single Particle Analysis, de novo model building, and refinement. Experience in protein purification, vitrification, and cryo-EM data collection is desired but not required for this job. People's skills and willingness to work in a team are prerequisites for this position. The minimum salary starts at $56,500 plus benefits and increases based on experience, seniority, and qualifications.
