  • BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB
    • Provides management and leadership for the Echo Lab. Mentors new and existing staff. Performs Echo Tech duties when necessary.
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS
    • Minimum Education
      • Associates Required
      • Successful completion of Ultrasound or Cardiovascular Technology Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAAHEP) or the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) which includes verified didactic and supervised clinical experience in Echocardiography.
      • Bachelors Degree preferred in the field of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences.
    • Minimum Work Experience
      • 5 years of experience in the field of pediatric echocardiology required
    • Required Licenses/Certifications for position
      • BLS required.
      • PALS preferred.
      • Registered or registry eligible form the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
    • Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
      • Advanced knowledge in the field of pediatric echocardiography.
      • Ability to supervise, evaluate, and critique the operation and performance of staff sonographers to ensure quality patient care.
      • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
      • Excellent communication, managerial, and leadership abilities.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    • Note: Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. Medium lifting, pushing and pulling is required for 20-50 lbs occasionally, 10-20 lbs frequently and 10 lbs constantly to move objects. Sudden emergency situations have the potential for exposure to lifting or moving of up to 100 lbs. Frequent bending, walking, sitting, squatting, reaching and standing are required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
