Faculty Student Association Business Manager Monday – Friday 8:30a – 4:30p

JOB SUMMARY:

The Faculty Student Association, a collegiate, educational Not-for-profit corporation, is seeking a Business Manager/Accountant to manage, supervise and oversee all operations of its business office. The Business Manager plays a vital role in executing the mission of the organization which is to enhance student’s educational experiences through a broad range of extracurricular activities. The key responsibility of the FSA Business Manager is to implement strategies and processes that ensure productivity with budgets, billing, contracts and financial reporting by utilizing industry best practice including incorporating electronic digital and software designed to construct templates, forms and contracts to enhance accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Oversee internal financial controls while maintaining separate bank accounts for all budgetary, payroll and agency accounts.

- Manage personnel policies and benefits for the FSA employees.

- Champion best business practices by all office staff

- Work closely with the Board of Directors to implement and control financial policies and interact on a daily basis with college students and faculty assisting them with financial matters and travel arrangements for campus clubs and organizations.

- Manage and supervise the Business Office staff – accounts payable and receivable, bookkeeping and administrative personnel

- Execute and manage the operations of the business office services in connection with accounting, auditing, budget, payroll, inventory, insurance and tax activities and internal financial controls.

- Prepare appropriate fiscal and financial reports for the Board of Directors and external audit.

- Attend Board Meetings and record and prepare minutes.

- Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Management and/or Accounting
  • A demonstrated knowledge of accounting, auditing, budgetary, insurance and tax compliance and reporting procedures.
  • Experience working with a variety of people in an educational setting
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with college students, high level college administrators and faculty, as well as stakeholders, such as consultants, auditing firms and attorneys.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
