Job Description
DEAN OF ACCOUNTABILITY
FULL TIME
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Dean of Accountability is responsible for overseeing the College’s strategic plan implementation. The Dean will oversee the organizational strategic plan implementation, establishing protocols to ensure that the plan goals are realized. The Dean will also establish a unit planning effectiveness model to ensure that departmental and unit plan priorities are both achieved and aligned with the institutional strategic plan. The Dean will oversee the employee evaluation process directing the Human Resources Department in employee effectiveness data collection, measurement, and reporting. Additionally, the Dean of Accountability will oversee the College’s research and planning functions. The Dean will provide guidance for all grant project directors and evaluators to ensure the College is both accomplishing the goals of the grant and fulfilling all financial obligations for awarded grants. Finally, the Dean will follow-up on all student and community inquiries related to college, office, and employee effectiveness.
EDUCATION: Master’s degree required, with an advanced education in Business Administration, with formal education in Humanities and/or Social Sciences as well.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Significant experience in solving complex business problems; administrative professional work experience in measurement and research design in establishing accountability programs, data collection and statistical analysis. Experience with Big 4 consulting, GAO, process management, or significant demonstrated ability to work as a change agent is preferred. Experience in documenting business processes, managing flow, and developing change structures for improved performance is a must. Demonstrated experience with increasing value and effectiveness of implemented and emergent programs. Proven experience in strategic plan implementation with demonstrated outcomes required.
Ability to enter complex organizations, assess the structures and processes, plan for continuous improvement, and ability to document and evaluate the effectiveness of change programs. Ability to apply appropriate research techniques, survey and database design, and computer programs and software to data collection, analysis, and statistical reporting. Must have strong presentation skills, the ability to work independently and as a member of a team, excellent interpersonal, organizational and computer skills. Demonstrated ability to train for improvement, effectiveness enhancement and business renewal. Track record of success with C-suite level executives in the development of accountability systems.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience, salary range up to $90,000.
