Occ Summary

The Eroglu lab in the Duke University Department of Cell Biology seeks a full-time postdoctoral associate with a strong back ground in cellular molecular neuroscience. For information about the lab and the PI, please visit:https://sites.duke.edu/eroglulab/
Principl e responsibilities for this position include the following:
You will be involved in the department's research activities as follows:
•    Designing and performing experiments successfully and collecting and analyzing data related to your research project in the Eroglu Labora tory.
•    Keeping proper records of your experiments and result ing data in a way that is inline with the provided guidelines.
•    Presenting your data in lab meetings and departmental seminars in a n organized, logical manner
•    Demonstrating commitment to tra ining and career advancement
•    Demonstrating significant int ellectual contribution to other scientific projects within the lab as we ll as your own
•    Contributing to the training and advancement of graduate students and other lab personnel
•    Writing fello wship applications as appropriate for the development of your career.

Preferred Qualifications:
Astrong training in cell and molec ular biology and neurobiology is a must. Experience with biochemical and confocal imaging techniques and both in vitro and in vivo model systems are required. The applicant should have at least one first author resea rchpublication from their Ph.D. and should not have had their Ph.D. deg ree earned more than 12 months before the start date.
This will be a minimum one-year appointment, contingent upon satisfactory annual revie ws. Salary is commensurate with NIH guidelines and applicant experience. The position is located at the Duke University School of Medicine in Du rham, NC.
