Summary of Position

Keene State College invites applications for the position of College Registrar to provide strategic leadership and administrative direction for the Registrar’s Office and provide operational oversight for the various functions of the unit by ensuring clear accountability and metrics (course registration, degree certification, enrollment reporting, academic catalog, and final exam scheduling).
 
Reporting to the Associate Provost as a member of the Academic Affairs leadership team, the College Registrar ensures regulatory compliance, including FERPA, maintenance and protection of student records, and stewardship of the student information system.
 
The College Registrar supports Keene State College’s shared governance process in the development, modification, and implementation of curriculum, academic policies and practices in alignment with the College’s mission, vision and strategic plans. The College Registrar works as a collaborative partner with the Provost’s Office, academic units and departments, the College Senate, Graduate Studies and Extended Education, Student Financial Services, Enrollment and Student Engagement, and the University System of New Hampshire Enterprise Technology and Services to provide essential information and services. This responsibility will include participation in the University System of New Hampshire (USNH) ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) migration project including leadership where appropriate.
 
The College Registrar serves as an integral member of the College’s strategic planning team working to deliver on its new strategic plan, specific focus will be on building transfer pathways in collaboration with both state and regional partners (NEBHE). The College Registrar ensures sustainable methods of providing support to the academic community while upholding the integrity of academic programs. The College Registrar will ensure practices that enhance success for the varied populations (undergraduate, graduate, continuing education, transfer, and alumni). The College Registrar will collaborate with the Associate Dean of Academic Program Innovation on the College’s CTE (Career and Technical Education) partnerships.

Other minimum qualifications

  • Minimum of five-seven (5-7) years of progressively responsible and successful administrative experience at a senior level in a Registrar’s office or related area is required. Previous experience at a smaller institution is desired.
  • Prior supervisory experience is required.
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership, planning and change management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to establish collegial relationships within and outside of the College and to work collaboratively to address the needs and priorities of the College, the region, and the University System of New Hampshire.
  • Demonstrated success in leveraging various software applications/systems to continually adapt and meet the needs of the operations is required.
  • Familiarity and demonstrated aptitude with Colleague or similar enterprise student information system is required.

Additional Preferred Qualifications
