Chief Executive Officer - Surgery Center

 

Nealy Pierce has been retained by Salem Outpatient Surgery Center to assist in the recruitment of a Chief Executive Officer to oversee a BRAND NEW Ambulatory Surgery Center being opened as a joint-venture between Salem Health, a non-profit, Magnet Designated health system, and 3 physician groups, that will open this year with 30 local providers already lined up.

This is an opportunity to come into a state-of-the-art facility and build it from scratch. It will boast 5 Class C Suites and 1 procedure room focusing on General, GYN, Urology, and Vascular procedures. This is an amazing group of professionals with great experience and a fantastic culture.

This position will have full clinical, operational, AND administrative oversight for the facility and reports directly to the Board of Directors. We are looking for someone who is ambitious and wants to build and grow this facility while working with state-of-the-art equipment and technology.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership to a team of clinical and business professionals, focused on clinical quality outcomes, labor efficiencies, supply chain management, volume growth drivers, and revenue cycle optimization.
  • Responsible for the Center's P&L; managing financial controls and reporting
  • Manages operational strategies
  • Develops and maintains an effective marketing program that encompasses physicians, patients, medical groups, and third-party payers focused on case volume growth.
  • Ensure efficient business office operations
  • Safeguards the Center's assets and ensures that the Center's building and/or tenant improvements and equipment are maintained and in compliance.
  • Responsible for creating a fair, open work environment for all teammates
  • Ensures consistency of treatment and application of policy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors required
  • Masters HIGHLY preferred
  • Extensive Ambulatory Surgery Center Leadership experience required
  • Strong LEAN or Kaizen based process improvement experience
  • CNOR / CSSM / CASC / etc preferred
