The Idaho Hispanic Foundation is a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and supporting minority entrepreneurs and businesses in the Idaho region. We seek a passionate and driven Program Director to help us expand our efforts and provide essential resources to the minority business community.

Position Overview:

The Program Director for the MBDA (Minority Business Development Agency) grant, working within the Idaho Hispanic Foundation, is instrumental in driving the successful execution of the grant-funded program. This role is central to overseeing all aspects of the program, ensuring grant compliance, and achieving desired outcomes to support the growth and development of minority-owned businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

Grant Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the MBDA grant program on behalf of the Idaho Hispanic Foundation.
  • Manage all grant-related activities, including reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Ensure program alignment with the grant's specific goals and objectives.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and refine the program's strategic plan, tailored to the Idaho Hispanic Foundation's mission and the grant's intended impact.
  • Establish clear, measurable objectives and goals for the program and ensure timely achievement.

Team Leadership:

  • Assemble and lead a dedicated team to effectively execute program activities.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering collaboration and an environment of excellence.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Forge and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including minority business owners, community partners, and relevant government agencies.
  • Collaborate with these stakeholders to advance program goals and provide valuable resources and support.

Financial Oversight:

  • Manage the program budget diligently, ensuring that funds are allocated efficiently and utilized in strict accordance with grant guidelines.
  • Monitor expenses, prepare financial reports, and ensure the program operates within its allocated budget.

Program Development:

  • Design and implement programs and initiatives that directly benefit the growth and development of minority-owned businesses.
  • Develop strategies to provide training, resources, and support to empower entrepreneurs to succeed.

Data Collection and Reporting:

  • Establish a robust data collection and reporting system to meticulously track program progress and outcomes.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to the MBDA and the Idaho Hispanic Foundation detailing program achievements and compliance with grant requirements.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure rigorous adherence to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Identify potential risks and work to mitigate them, protecting the program's overall success.

Evaluation and Impact Assessment:

  • Continuously assess the effectiveness of program initiatives, measuring the impact on minority-owned businesses.
  • Make necessary adjustments to enhance outcomes and the program's impact.

Marketing and Outreach:

  • Develop and execute marketing and outreach strategies tailored to reach the target audience.
  • Utilize diverse communication channels to raise awareness and increase participation.

Knowledge Sharing:

  • Stay informed about best practices, trends, and research relevant to minority business development.
  • Share knowledge and insights with team members and the local community.

Collaboration with the Idaho Hispanic Foundation:

  • Collaborate closely with the leadership of the Idaho Hispanic Foundation to ensure alignment with the organization's broader objectives and initiatives.
  • Engage in foundation-wide activities and actively contribute to the foundation's overarching mission.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in grant management, preferably with federal grants, and a track record of successful grant execution.
  • Strong knowledge of minority business development, economic development, and community engagement.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective partnerships and collaborations.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
  • Spanish speaking preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
