Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of the work of Academic Affairs to include but not limited to initiatives, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and program review, development and recommendations.

  • Oversee the collection of data (enrollment, retention, partnerships, net revenue, etc.) for annual Program Health Index (PHI) reports and prepare recommendations for action to supervisor and Chancellor based on analyses of program viability.

  • Oversee leadership and guidance for the development of planning, goal setting, and evaluation of outcomes for continuous improvement to include but not limited to assisting with identifying and reviewing effective metrics to monitor outcomes of student success for developing innovative and emerging strategies to impact student success.

  • Lead the academic program approval process in reviewing proposals for new programs and modifications to or terminations of existing programs for both internal and external (LCTCS, Board of Regents, SACSCOC, and DOE) requirements.

  • Review Curriculum Committee proposals prior to meetings—serving as Chair to ensure alignment with internal and subsequent procedures and policies of respective approvals.

  • May serve as the SACSCOC Accreditation Liaison as directed by supervisor.

  • Provide executive level leadership for all SACSCOC accreditation activities related to reaffirmation, interim, and annual reports.

  • Ensure management, maintenance, and alignment of SACSCOC accreditation policies, practices, and procedures, including oversight of substantive change activities.

  • Supervise the Director of Library & Academic Support and the Department of Institutional Research & Effectiveness.

  • Support supervisor with the preparation of College annual reports and updates.

  • Support supervisor with implementing and reporting state and federal requirements related to academics.

  • Attend LCTCS and Board of Regents cross-functional group meetings related to academics representing the College.

  • Supervise—in conjunction with and under the leadership of the VCA/WI - edits to and reviews of the College Catalog and Faculty Handbook in preparation for annual publication.

  • Attend annual conferences and trainings.

  • Develop and host professional development sessions.

  • Other related duties within the scope of Academic Affairs as assigned.

 

Required Education: Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited university required.


 

Required Experience: Minimum 5 years of administrative/supervisor experience in higher education. SACSCOC accreditation experience with compliance activities.


 

Required KSAs: Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills. Demonstrated proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets. Experience being involved with multiple projects, problem solving, and working with diverse groups. Ability to present in front of diverse audiences. Ability to assist in the development of written reports, to include conclusions and recommendations based on factual and objective analysis. Understands the mission of technical and community colleges.


 

Preferred Education: Doctorate Preferred


 

Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required as a condition of employment.
