Description
The Department of Chemistry at Georgetown University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Inorganic Chemistry to begin in Fall 2024.

We seek to hire an enthusiastic teacher-scholar with research and teaching interests in the area of Inorganic chemistry (broadly defined). The candidate will be expected to build a research program that involves both PhD students and undergraduates and is able to attract external funding. While the specific research area is open, it should complement existing efforts in the department. Programs that find synergy with other university initiatives, such as the Earth Commons will be positively viewed. Strong candidates will have demonstrated potential for quality teaching and effective student mentoring.

We encourage applications from candidates that are committed to high-quality scholarship, instruction, and providing support to a diverse student population. Applicants from historically excluded groups are especially encouraged to apply. The Chemistry department is a community committed to equitable and inclusive research and teaching practices, and a place where individuals of all backgrounds can thrive.
