About the Position
- Provide primarily outpatient clinical care at Norton Children's Mental & Behavioral Health, with additional opportunities for teaching and research, and some inpatient care at Norton Children's Hospital
- Provide care for underserved patient population of children up to age 18
- Average 50-hour workweeks with team shared call responsibility of approximately seven call weekends per year
- Inpatient clinical care opportunities available
- Will hold an academic position with the University of Louisville School of Medicine with teaching responsibilities for medical students, psychiatry residents, child and adolescent psychiatry fellows, and psychology internship and postdoctoral trainees
- Preferred candidate is board-certified or board-eligible in child and adolescent psychiatry, and will have completed an accredited residency in psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry
- Medical degree/diploma
- Residency/fellowship certification
- Kentucky medical license or license eligible
