Job Description
Pine Technical and Community College seeks Nursing Assistant Instructors through our Continuing Education and Customized Training department. Candidates should be dedicated to excellence in teaching and desire to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. The successful candidate(s) will demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary and cross-cultural perspectives. Faculty members at PTCC are professionally active scholars who participate in departmental and campus-wide activities to enhance their disciplines, promote interdisciplinary discourse and collaboration, and advance the college mission. Required Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Diploma or associate degree in nursing.
OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience of direct patient care, one year must be in long term care.
RECENCY REQUIREMENT: One year of this paid work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENT: Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license.
OTHER REQUIREMENT: Compliance with clinical affiliate policies for attending on-site clinical teaching assignments.

Preferred Qualifications
- Nursing education focus
- Teaching experience at the postsecondary level, preferably at a two-year college
- Prior on-line experience using D2L Brightspace platform or equivalent information management system
- Demonstrated commitment to quality instruction and continuous improvement
- Ability to work with a diverse student body with a broad range of interests and abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and peers
- Experience in curriculum development at the professional nursing level
- Effective planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills
