Position Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Clinical Services Representative II for Medicine- Tuberculosis Center. This position is under supervision, responsible for answering phones and routing calls, scheduling appointments, greeting and registering patients for the Waymon C. Lattimore Practice, Global Tuberculosis Institute. 
Among the key duties of this position are the following: 

• Responds or directs requests and questions from hospitals, patients and referring physician offices. 
• Ensures the accurate and timely input of data into the system for the department/clinic.
• Greets patients and visitors and explains clinic procedures and answers routine questions. 
• Accurately schedules appointments upon request of patient or referring physician office. Provides patient with information such as directions, pre-visit instructions, insurance form requirements, etc. 
• Maintains legible appointment scheduling documents and ensures that scheduling is done according to the criteria of the department. 
• Research and answers routine telephone and written inquiries from patients and referring physician offices in a timely manner. 
• Provides information in accordance with patient confidentiality standards. 

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Two (2) years of progressively responsible clerical experience required, preferably in a physician office or other medical setting.
