Nephrology Tenure Track Assistant Professor

Job Description


The Division of Nephrology in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine is recruiting a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor faculty member. This tenure track position has potential advancement through ranks per University guidelines. Laboratory space, start-up funds, and competitive salary will be provided.

Candidates must have a MD and/or PhD or equivalent, and several years of productive postdoctoral research experience with a strong publication record. The successful candidate must demonstrate, through training and publication records, compelling evidence of becoming an independent investigator and competitiveness for government research funding. While all areas of research focus will be considered, preference will be given to individuals whose research interests will enrich current division’s research direction such as genomics research in topics broadly related to ADPKD, AKI, and CKD. For physician scientist, approximately 25% clinical effort in general nephrology and dialysis is expected.
