Position Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Unit Coordinator for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). Under general supervision, performs and is responsible for clerical and coordinating functions of a specialized unit. This may include the responsibility for operation and instruction in the use of specialized equipment such as computers, word processors,
audio-visual, etc.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Maintains up to date records of the work of the unit.
• Compiles data and processes records of activities such as personnel forms, orders, requisitions, sales, and registration requests.
• Disseminates information, answers inquiries, resolves problems, or refers to appropriate administrative offices.
• Acts as liaison between the unit and other administrative offices.
• Establishes schedules for the users of the unit and/or for the facility itself.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• High school/vocational school education or equivalent plus three years related clerical experience involving organizing, coordinating, scheduling and/or record keeping responsibilities.
• A combination of college level study, advanced secretarial training, and/or related clerical experience may be substituted for the above requirements.
