Posting Summary | Dr. Edward DeMauro, Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, USA) is seeking applications from qualified individuals for a full-time postdoctoral associate position working on the design and construction of an expansion tube facility to achieve high-enthalpy, hypersonic flows. The position will begin as early as January 2024 and looks to support the creation of this new facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team consisting of at least two PhD students and undergraduates. The candidate will report to me regularly with project updates and prepare documentation to be reported back to our collaborators. For this three-year project, I am looking for a self-motivated, independent individual who can produce on a tight schedule with minimal supervision. Previous experience with design, machining, and experimental setup/troubleshooting is highly desired. Dr. DeMauro leads the Gas Dynamics Research Lab at Rutgers University, which utilizes the Emil Buehler Supersonic Wind Tunnel. Current capabilities include stereoscopic particle image velocimetry and high-speed pressure sensitive paint. |

Immunization Requirements
