Post Doctoral Associate

Job Description


A Post-Doctoral trainee position is available at the University of Rochester within the Department of Ophthalmology to support research in the bacterial pathogenesis of ocular infections.  Successful applicants should have a strong background in microbiology and biochemistry or molecular biology.  Individuals with experience in animal models of infection and bacterial genetics are highly encouraged to apply.  A Ph.D. in a relevant field and strong demonstration of research accomplishments is required.  Individuals must be able to work efficiently with a highly integrated research team, yet independently develop and perform studies and quickly interpret data in real time.  Applicants should email a cover letter, CV, and contact information for at least three references to Rachel_wozniak@urmc.rochester.edu and paul_dunman@urmc.rochester.edu
