Embry-Riddle is now hiring a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in the School of Graduate Studies in the College of Aviation at the Daytona Beach campus. Duties assigned to this title require specialized knowledge in the field of aviation human factors and will involve organizing and implementing research plans, development of methods of research, testing and data collection, analysis and evaluation, and report writing. Duties include writing grant proposals and publication in academic journals, and may be required to supervise students or research staff. The Postdoctoral Research Scholar will support and be supervised by Dr. Barbara Holder, Associate Professor of School of Graduate Studies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Human Factors or related field.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Qualitative data collection and analysis, specifically workload assessment. 
• Field research methods, knowledge of the aviation domain, and human performance in safety-critical systems.
