We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative post-doc to join our fast-growing and collaborative group located at The Ohio State University to pursue research training in the areas of skeletal muscle atrophy & fatigue as well as molecular and cellular immunology. The goal of this NIH funded research project is to better understand the interplay between select viral proteins and the host immune system leading to the development of  human diseases using innovated approaches, including the use of human ex-vivo models and clinical samples,  gene knock-down technology,  live cell imaging/confocal microscopy, immunofluorescence, EM, flow cytometry, RNAseq, mass spectrometry, structure-function analysis and western blot.  

Applicants should have a Ph.D in Molecular Biology or Immunology and a demonstrated record of productivity. Experience in aseptic technique and tissue culture, isolation of primary cells (murine/human) and in-vitro immune cell activation assays is highly desired. Applicants should have excellent organizational, communication and written skills (English) and the ability to effectively work independently and be a team player.
