Description
The NYU Courant Institute is the center for advanced training and research in the mathematical sciences. Each year a limited number of Courant Institute Instructorships in the Department of Mathematics are awarded to postdoctoral scientists. All areas of mathematics are considered. These appointments are for a maximum term of three (3) years and carry a light teaching load of one course per semester. They are primarily for recent Ph.D.'s, and candidates must have a degree in mathematics or some affiliated field.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary of this position is a set amount of $90,000 so the range for this position is $90,000 - $90,000.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in mathematics or a related field.
