Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Department of Mathematics at Iowa State University invites applications for a two year postdoctoral position with possible extension to a third year subject to availability of funding. The expected start date is August 16, 2024. This opening is in computational topology and/or harmonic analysis, aligning with research interests of Prof. Eric Weber. Topics of interest include persistent homology, simplicial complexes, time-frequency analysis, and sparse decompositions.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in Mathematics or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Research experience in computational topology and/or harmonic analysis.
Experience teaching and mentoring of students.
Proposed Start Date:
August 16, 2024
Proposed End Date or Length of Term:
August 15, 2026
Number of Months Employed Per Year:
12 Month Work Period
