Description: The Department of Physics at Carnegie Mellon University invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow in observational cosmology with a focus on weak lensing working with Prof. Rachel Mandelbaum. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of topics in this field, including but not limited to image simulations and analysis, and analysis method development and application to survey data. This work may be carried out in the context of the Hyper Suprime-Cam (HSC) survey, the Rubin Observatory Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) including the LSST Dark Energy Science Collaboration (DESC), the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, or Euclid.

The successful applicant will join the McWilliams Center at Carnegie Mellon (website: https://www.cmu.edu/cosmology/ ) and will be encouraged to collaborate with other members of the Center, including the Physics faculty, other postdoctoral researchers, members of the LINCC Frameworks team, graduate students, and members of other relevant departments at CMU and the University of Pittsburgh.

Qualifications: Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Physics, Astronomy, or a related field by the time of appointment.
