Job Description
JOB TYPE – Full-time (Tenure Track) LOCATION – Ontario, Oregon
DEADLINE – Open until filled DEPARTMENT – Academics
PAY – $50,470 (additional steps may be REPORTS TO – Vice President
granted per the Collective Bargaining Agreement) of Academic Affairs
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This position is a full time, tenure-track, 10-month, Faculty bargaining-unit position.
Starting annual salary is $50,470 (new hire may be eligible for additional steps on the
salary schedule according to prior work and education). Schedule may include late
afternoons and/or evenings, online, or in a “virtual/interactive” classroom.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree in Business or closely related field. Minimum of 18 quarter hours of
before employment begins.
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing with diverse students,

- Must be able to use computer technology to enhance instruction, including an ability

advising, committee assignments, and curriculum development; experience in use of

technology in the classroom to aid the learning process; experience with computer
assisted instruction, such as online teaching of business, accounting, or economics
courses.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Provide classroom and online instruction in various Business Courses with an emphasis
- Create a positive learning environment for students using innovative, effective and
student success.
- Work with local high schools and other partners to provide dual-credit and other
- Participate in and assist with organizing co-curricular activities with campus groups
- Utilize classroom assessment techniques to improve instruction and to align with
- Participate in the student advising and college-wide efforts to improve student
- Evaluate and document student progress, keeping students apprised of progress.
- Participate in departmental meetings, in-service training and activities, and other
instruction, student matters, and/or college-related concerns.
- Assist in curriculum and program development incorporating current educational
software, and supplemental materials.
- Maintain office hours sufficient to meet the needs of students for consultation and
- Work effectively with colleagues and students of various cultural (including traditional,
night and weekend courses as needed.
- Work closely with industry to provide cooperative work experience opportunities for

- Enter Quarterly Institutional Learning Outcome (ILO) assessments.
- Participate in professional development activities to improve teaching and learning,
student populations.
- Other duties as assigned.
