Post-doctoral Research Associate - Physics and Astronomy

Relativistic Heavy Ion Physics

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, invites candidates to apply for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position with the Relativistic Heavy Ion Physics group. Our group is currently working both at the ALICE experiment at the LHC and at the sPHENIX experiment at RHIC.  We are also members of the JETSCAPE collaboration.

 



Qualifications

 

The successful candidate is required to have a Ph.D. in physics (awarded at time of application) with experience in nuclear or high energy physics, will be expected to mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and to travel extensively to BNL. 

 The successful candidate will be working on the sPHENIX and JETSCAPE collaborations.
