The NASA Astrobiology Program supports research that leads to a better understanding of how life emerged and evolved on Earth, what conditions make environments in our universe capable of supporting life, and what the distribution of habitable worlds and life beyond Earth might be and is housed within the Planetary Science Division, one of the four divisions in NASA’s Science Mission Directorate. The Astrobiology program furthers specific scientific research objectives through the support of independent research, as well as community coordination efforts in the form of Research Coordination Networks or RCNs, as well as supporting future mission development, mission operations and analysis of mission data. In this position the Astrobiology Postdoctoral Management Program Fellow will obtain experience in a wide range of strategic and programmatic activities involving various aspects in the management of the Astrobiology Program, including strategic planning exercises and communication of the R&A programs with stakeholders and the Astrobiology community, and possibly preparation for and participation in review panels across a range of scientific disciplines.
